1994 - 2009
As the times outran Tim, and he stepped down, it was his nephew, Nigel, his niece Sarah and her husband Phil who began taking steps to bring the school back into the modern educational world.
Phil took over from Nigel in 2001, and continued to make progress in modernising the school, but there was never enough capital to invest properly in the school’s future. Due to these concerns, the family decided to try to fi nd a buyer for the school. At the same time, Phil become Principal, and Chris McGovern, who had been Junior House Head, became Headmaster.
In 2009, as the London prep school environment became increasingly competitive, the school was sold to the education group Alpha Plus, who have given the school strongly supportive governance while recognising its Catholic ethos. Th e group has also invested in the exciting and creative transformation of the school’s fabric and facilities.
